Abstract

Sexual violence in higher education is a serious problem that threatens the safety, comfort, and rights of students to receive an education. Despite the issuance of various regulations, cases of sexual violence on campus continue to occur, whether verbal, nonverbal, physical, or digital. This study aims to analyze efforts to prevent sexual violence in higher education through an Islamic family law approach and national regulations. The method used is normative legal research with a conceptual approach and legislation. The results of the study indicate that preventing sexual violence is not sufficient through an administrative approach and legal sanctions alone, but also requires strengthening the values of maqashid sharia, particularly the protection of honor to preserve offspring (hifz al-nasl), social ethics, respect for women, and social responsibility, which are strongly relevant in building a safe and civilized campus environment. Strengthening education on healthy relationships, digital literacy, the role of the PPKS Task Force, and internalization of moderate Islamic values are important strategies in preventing sexual violence in higher education.
