Mastery of the Arabic language is very important in Islamic education because it is the primary means of understanding the Qur’an, hadith, and other Islamic sources. Unfortunately, many students show low enthusiasm for learning Arabic because it is considered difficult, especially in understanding vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. This study aims to determine how teachers can improve students’ learning motivation toward Arabic through the use of appropriate teaching methods. Teachers play a significant role in increasing students’ learning motivation by providing encouragement, creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere, and applying interactive learning methods. Several methods used include educational games, the use of visual media such as pictures, videos, and flashcards, dialogue and question-answer methods, repeated vocabulary exercises, and the habituation of using simple Arabic expressions in daily activities. These methods have proven to improve students’ learning motivation, participation, and understanding in learning Arabic. The success of Arabic language learning is also influenced by several factors, such as the availability of learning media, teacher creativity, and a supportive social environment. However, there are also inhibiting factors, such as students’ low motivation and limited learning time. Therefore, the use of creative, innovative, and student-centered teaching methods is very important to optimally improve students’ motivation in learning Arabic.Downloads
