English proficiency is an essential skill for university students in today’s globalized world because it supports academic achievement, global communication, and career development. However, many students still experience difficulties in improving their English skills due to limited opportunities to practice, lack of confidence, and teaching methods that emphasize theory rather than communication. As a result, more interactive and student-focused learning methods are needed. One effective approach is language partner collaboration, which gives students opportunities to practice English through direct interaction with peers. This method helps students improve their speaking abilities, increase their confidence, and participate more actively in communication activities. Furthermore, collaborative learning can create a comfortable and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of language partner collaboration in supporting university students’ English proficiency. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of students’ learning experiences and support the development of more interactive English teaching strategies.
