Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of prayer to God on restoring self-confidence in individuals experiencing feelings of guilt and despair. Many individuals experience self-confidence crises due to repeated failures and prolonged life pressures. Prayer, as a form of spiritual communication between humans and God, is believed to play an important role in psychological recovery. Through literature review and conceptual analysis, prayer is found to correlate positively with increased self-confidence, reduced anxiety, and strengthened emotional resilience. The underlying mechanisms include cognitive effects of negative thought restructuring, emotional effects of feeling accepted and forgiven, and spiritual effects of strengthening life's meaning. This study affirms that prayer is not merely a religious ritual, but a psycho-spiritual process that genuinely contributes to mental health and the restoration of human self-confidence.
