Understanding the characteristics of electric current and voltage in electrical circuits is an essential basic competency in physics education. This study aims to analyze the distribution characteristics of electric current and voltage in simple electrical circuits — both series and parallel — based on Kirchhoff's Laws (KCL and KVL). Using an analytical-comparative approach with experimental data from relevant prior research, the analysis reveals that in series circuits, current is uniform across all components while voltage is distributed proportionally to resistance values. In parallel circuits, voltage is identical across all branches while current is divided inversely to resistance. Experimental data from Agustin et al. (2024) confirm that simultaneous changes in source voltage and resistance produce significant V and I variations. Data from Kurniawan et al. (2023) demonstrate excellent agreement between calculated and measured current values, empirically validating Kirchhoff's Laws. These findings underscore the importance of structured laboratory activities and innovative learning media in building deep conceptual understanding of electrical principles.
