The rapid growth of dense settlements has led to a reduction in water cathment areas. The dominance of impervious surfuces (paving) has triggered an increase in surface runoff and the risk of annual flooding. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating flood discharge reduction in residential areas. The research methoduses a literature study approach by reviewing various research results related to the affectiveness of environmentally friendly drainage technologhy (ecodrainage). Findings from the literature review show that the separate application of LRB can reduce runoff discharge by 98.3% on a micro scale. Hovewer, when combinied with infiltration wells, rhis solution becomes more complete in channeling larger volumes of water and replenishing groundwater reserves that have been depleted due to exerchissive use. The combination of these two technologies has been proven effective in reducing pressure on urban drainage channels while improving that combinies infiltration wells and LRB is an affectivev, economical, and sustainable technical solution for dealing with flooding in densely populated residential areas.Downloads
