Abstract

Suicide, often considered a last resort, is a pressing humanitarian issue in today's academic environment. This article examines in detail the psychological and sociological dynamics that drive people into deep despair. Using a qualitative case study, it demonstrates how external pressures, such as academic demands, and internal vulnerabilities such as emotional instability interact to trigger severe stress. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders and supplemented by a review of academic literature. The study's findings highlight that the integration of the strong Ulul Albab character at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has proven to be an effective moral and psychological anchor for students. The harmonious balance between intellectuality, spiritual depth, and moral integrity has been shown to strengthen students' mental resilience in facing various life crises. These findings highlight the importance of rebuilding empathetic social support systems and providing counseling services based on transcendental values. These preventative measures are crucial for reducing the risk of destructive behavior among young people while creating a campus ecosystem that is humane, safe, and supportive of holistic mental health.
