Abstract

The position of morality and theosophy in Islam is closely related to the concepts of faith, Islam, and ihsan. Faith becomes the foundation of a Muslim’s belief in Allah SWT, which is not only believed in the heart, but also expressed verbally and proven through actions. Islam represents the outward obedience of humans to Allah SWT by carrying out His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. Meanwhile, ihsan is the highest level of religious practice because it emphasizes inner awareness that every act of worship and deed is always under the supervision of Allah SWT. These three concepts serve as important foundations in forming noble character. Morality in Islam is not only understood as politeness or outward good behavior, but also as a reflection of the heart, faith, and spiritual quality of a person. Islamic theosophy plays a role in deepening human understanding of divine wisdom through purification of the soul, strengthening of faith, and appreciation of the meaning of worship. In this context, theosophy is closely related to Sufism because both emphasize the importance of a pure heart and closeness to Allah SWT. This discussion shows that morality and theosophy cannot be separated from faith, Islam, and ihsan.
