The rapid technological developments in the 21st century have pushed educational institutions to fully embrace digital transformation. This study aims to assess the impact of digital transformation on the effectiveness of online learning in the Society 5.0 era, where humans are the primary focus in the use of technology. The method used in this study was a systematic literature review (SLR) of 38 selected scientific articles published between 2019 and 2024, in accordance with the PRISMA protocol. The results show that the implementation of artificial intelligence, adaptive platforms, and learning analytics significantly increases student participation, learning outcomes, and satisfaction. However, this effectiveness is dependent on certain conditions and is influenced by teachers' digital skills, equal access to infrastructure, and the quality of instructional design. In the context of Society 5.0, the success of digital transformation in education depends on the ability of the learning ecosystem to align technological advancements with meeting students' humanistic needs. This study recommends the development of inclusive digital education policies and the improvement of digital skills for teachers as prerequisites for achieving success in online learning.
