Implementasi program pembiasaan shalat berjamaah dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa di MI Al-quran nurul huda 2 Singosari

Abstract

Character education is an essential part of the national education system aimed at developing students who are not only academically competent but also possess good morals and personality. One of the important characters that should be instilled from an early age is discipline. Islamic educational institutions have a strategic role in developing disciplinary character through various religious habituation programs, one of which is congregational prayer activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the congregational prayer habituation program in shaping students’ disciplinary character at MI Al-Qur’an Nurul Huda 2 Singosari. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the headmaster, teachers, and students involved in the program. The results showed that the program was systematically planned by establishing clear objectives, schedules, and indicators of success. The implementation was carried out consistently with the involvement of all school members. Program evaluation was conducted regularly through observation and monitoring of students’ development. The habituation of congregational prayer positively influenced students’ discipline, particularly in punctuality, responsibility, and obedience to school regulations.
