Students often engage in knowledge-sharing activities on campus. This can be achieved through group discussions, collaborative learning, sharing experiences, and group work. However, most students are unaware that these activities are part of the interaction between unknown and known knowledge within the concept of knowledge management. Based on the SECI Model developed by Nonaka and Takeuchi—namely socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization—this study aims to analyze the process of knowledge sharing among students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study involved interviews with students who actively participate in classes, organizations, and study groups. The results indicate that students unconsciously apply all stages of the SECI Model in their daily lives. When speaking and sharing experiences, they demonstrate the socialization stage. The externalization stage occurs when students convey their knowledge through notes, assignments, and presentations. Finally, the combination stage occurs when students combine various sources of information into new knowledge. Lastly, the internalization stage occurs when students understand and apply their knowledge to their own personal experiences. In addition, this study found that the knowledge-sharing process benefits students because they gain more insights and experience and develop a better understanding of the course material. However, there are several challenges in this process, such as a lack of group activities, low self-confidence, and difficulty understanding others. Therefore, students must recognize the importance of the knowledge-sharing process in fostering the creation of new knowledge in an academic setting.
