Depression among students in the digital era is becoming an increasingly complex phenomenon due to academic pressure, social expectations, and the influence of social media. This study aims to examine the role of spirituality as a coping mechanism for depression among students using a literature review method. This method involved analysing various literature sources, such as scientific journals, books, and other publications. The results of the study show that spirituality has a negative relationship, meaning that the higher an individual’s level of spirituality, the power their risk. Spirituality plays a role in improving emotional regulation, providing a sense of direction and meaning in life, and strengthening resilience in the face of psychological pressure. Spiritual practices such as reflection, religious rituals or worship have been shown to be effective in helping students to maintain their psychological well being in the digital era. Therefore, spirituality can be an effective coping mechanism and has the potential to be integrated into psychological interventions.
