Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought major changes to the world of education. On one hand, digital technology offers various opportunities to improve the quality of learning, enhance educational accessibility, and facilitate a more interactive and creative learning process. However, on the other hand, inappropriate use of technology can cause significant problems, such as gadget addiction, lack of focus, cyber-crime, reduced social interaction, and characterless education. This article discusses the implications and the importance of balance in the use of digital technology in the world of education. Through a literature review method, data and information were gathered from various trusted academic sources. The results show that digital technology must be implemented wisely alongside teachers' digital competence, students' digital literacy, and tight supervision from families. This balance is highly crucial to ensure that technological integration does not diminish the essential human touch and character building in human resources.
