Abstract

The purpose of this lesson is to discuss the constitutional values ​​and norms of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the constitutionality of laws and regulations based on the Constitution in the life of the nation and state. We use the literature review research method. The literature review research method is a research method that involves reading and analyzing literature related to the topic being discussed. From the results of our discussion, we know that the Constitution has two meanings, namely narrow and broad. The constitution contains important content regarding state administration, human rights, and procedures for amending the constitution, and may include prohibitions on changing certain features of the constitution, national ideals, and principles of national ideology. A constitution is needed to limit government power and control, decentralize government power, and guarantee people's human rights. There are two assumptions regarding the need for a constitution in national and state life. All three are related to national aspects, but their aims are different. There are also government steps to address constitutional challenges. Through amendments to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.
