Abstract

Today's very rapid developments have had various significant impacts on advances in technology and science. Modern developments have had many positive impacts such as ease of access to communication, ease of transportation and ease of access to information, but developments over time on the other hand have also had negative impacts, one of which is the moral and ethical crisis among young researchers. The phenomenon of falsifying research data and manipulating data based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in laboratories is a clear indication of the decline in academic integrity. This journal was created with the aim of examining how important it is to strengthen the ethics and morals of young researchers as a basis for developing character and maintaining the integrity of young researchers in the modern era. The method used is descriptive-qualitative analysis through literature study on research ethical principles. The results of the discussion show that research ethics is a mandatory moral principle that covers the entire research cycle. Research ethics relies on five pillars, namely honesty in data processing, objectivity to minimize bias, integrity towards international standards, accuracy of observation data, and legality that complies with regulations.
