This study examines the effect of mindfulness practice on reducing academic stress among Informatics Engineering students through a literature review of empirical and experimental studies. Informatics Engineering students are highly vulnerable to academic stress due to intensive programming assignments, project deadlines, academic procrastination, and the continuous demand to adapt to technological advancements. The findings indicate that mindfulness effectively reduces academic stress by improving emotional regulation, attentional control, and nonjudgmental awareness of present experiences. Previous studies consistently demonstrate a significant negative relationship between mindfulness and academic stress, accompanied by improved sleep quality, reduced procrastination, and enhanced learning concentration. Structured and continuous mindfulness interventions, particularly Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), provide more sustainable psychological benefits than short-term or single-session practices. Therefore, integrating mindfulness into daily academic activities is recommended as a preventive and promotive strategy to strengthen students' mental well-being, improve academic resilience, and support learning performance among Informatics Engineering students.
