Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of age diversity among teachers at MI Almaarif 02 Singosari, which unconsciously creates age stereotypes among students. Young teachers are often perceived as interactive and tech-savvy but less firm, whereas senior teachers are identified with high authority but tend to be rigid. This labeling affects the psychological comfort of students in the concrete operational phase, directly impacting their level of classroom participation. On one hand, the culture of "takzim" (respect) makes students highly obedient to senior teachers but triggers reluctance (passivity); on the other hand, emotional closeness with young teachers drives high participation but risks loosening the formal boundaries of the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC). This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of teacher age stereotypes on student participation in classroom learning. Utilizing a scientific approach, this research is expected to provide theoretical contributions to Islamic educational psychology and serve as a practical evaluation tool for madrasah management and cross-generational teachers in managing student perceptions to create an inclusive, participatory, and character-driven classroom environment.
