The development of digital technology has encouraged the emergence of various innovations in financial transaction systems, one of which is the PayLater service. This system provides convenience for people to purchase goods or services through deferred payment methods. However, the practice of PayLater also raises various issues from the perspective of Islamic law, especially regarding elements of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), and contracts in digital transactions. This article aims to analyze the practice of PayLater from the perspective of Fiqh Muamalah. The research method used is library research with a conceptual and normative approach. Data were obtained from various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, and previous studies related to digital transactions and Islamic economic law. The results show that the PayLater system is basically permissible as long as it fulfills sharia principles, including clear contracts, transaction transparency, and the absence of riba and gharar. However, several modern PayLater practices still apply interest and late payment penalties that potentially contradict the principles of fiqh muamalah. Therefore, a proper understanding and wise use of PayLater services are necessary to ensure compliance with Islamic values.Downloads
