Korupsi dan krisis kepercayaan publik terhadap lembaga negara
Keywords:
Corruption, Public Trust, State InstitutionsAbstract
Corruption is one of the serious issues that continues to pose a challenge to governance in Indonesia. Corrupt practices not only result in financial losses for the state but also contribute to a decline in public trust in state institutions. The findings of this article indicate that corruption is closely linked to a decline in public trust in government institutions. The number of corruption cases involving public officials creates a negative perception of the integrity of state institutions and undermines the government’s legitimacy in the eyes of the public. The resulting impacts include reduced public participation in development, the emergence of apathy, political instability, and a decline in investment interest. Therefore, sustainable anti-corruption measures are needed through transparency, accountability, strong law enforcement, and increased public participation to restore public trust in state institutions.
