Teosofi dan perkembangan aliran dalam islam

The article explains that the emergence of various sects within Islam was not only caused by political issues following the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but also by differences in the interpretation of religious teachings. Initially, these differences centered on the issue of leadership and who was considered most suitable to lead the community. However, over time, these differences evolved into broader discussions, such as issues of faith, predestination, human free will, and how to understand God. In this context, theosophy or Al-Hikmah al-Ilahiyyah became one approach to understanding the nature of divinity more deeply. This approach relies not only on reason and logic but also takes into account inner experience, spiritual insight, and reflection on life. These ideas subsequently developed within various groups, such as the Khawarij, Murji’ah, Mu’tazilah, Qadariyah, Jabariyah, and Asy’ariyah, each holding distinct views on the relationship between humanity and God. The influx of philosophical ideas from outside Islam also contributed to the further development of theological discourse and its connection to social life. This can be seen in Sufism, which emphasizes the importance of self-improvement and the purification of the soul. Thus, theosophy helps individuals understand religion from both an external and internal perspective in a balanced way, so that religious teachings are not merely knowledge but can also be practically applied in daily life.
