Sulitnya akses serta kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait obat berkualitas di Daerah Terpencil Perbatasan Kepulauan
Abstract
Pharmacy plays an important role in maintaining the health and welfare of society. However, there are still a number of pharmaceutical-related issues that need attention in Indonesia. One of the main issues is access to and availability of affordable and quality medicines as well as education related to the use of a drug. This plays an important role in a series of patient therapies in order to achieve therapeutic success, namely patient recovery. This study aims to find out how to overcome the difficulty of access and availability of affordable and quality medicines as well as education related to the use of a drug. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with an approach through studies of various literature. Based on the research results, it is known that overcoming the difficulty of access and availability of affordable and quality drugs as well as education related to the use of a drug can need to be involvedcollaborative efforts from the government, the pharmaceutical industry, and the community through strengthening health infrastructure in DTPK areas,encouraging investment in the production of quality generic drugs, increasing drug regulation, and of course education and information by pharmacists or pharmacists to the public.
