This research aims to analyze the needs of mathematics learning media for 7th-grade students at MTs. Negeri 3 Malang with the goal of enhancing students' understanding and learning achievement. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research with a total of 64 students and one mathematics teacher as research subjects. Data collection is conducted through observation and interviews. The observation results indicate that mathematics teaching still relies on conventional methods with a predominance of lecturing and rare utilization of digital learning media. The scarcity of time available for teachers to develop instructional media and their limited understanding of students' learning styles contribute to the limited variation in the use of instructional media. Interview results show students' interest and enthusiasm towards digital learning media. Therefore, it is concluded that teachers need to create instructional media that take into account students' learning styles and utilize technology to enhance students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics.
