Abstract
Previous linguists almost devoted all their attention to the study of Arabic grammatical rules, in contrast to what Abdul Qahir al-Jurjani attempted through his concept of an-nazm which pays more attention to the psychological aspects of speakers in producing an utterance, elsewhere the author tries to link the theory of an- nazm al-Jurjani in the verses of Alfiyah Ibn Malik through predetermined phases. The author uses a descriptive qualitative method with interview data collection techniques. The author conducts a literature review on scientific books, journal articles, and related sources. The results of the discussion show that there is a suitability of al-Jurjani's nazm theory with the i'rob steps arranged in Alfiyah Ibn Malik's stanza.
