Abstract

The practice of implementing corruption in Indonesia does not only occur in politics, economics, and so on. Abuse of power is an entry point for corrupt behavior in universities. History has written that higher education institutions are part of the corruption problem. In this cycle of corruption, a number of universities and their academic community are dragged along. As a leader who has power is very vulnerable to abuse. If we look closely, starting from the leadership, chancellors, deans, and structural officials, the perpetrators are mostly caught in corruption cases. This leader is part of the Commitment Making Officer (PPK). Carrying out massive decentralization requires institutional strengthening and the commitment of a leader not to tolerate is a solution to prevent widespread corruption. There are many ways you can do to reduce corrupt behavior, for example by providing special education such as holding anti-corruption courses, making good planning, and getting used to being honest.
