Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how to cultivate religious or religious values-based characters in elementary schools and also to find out the example that existed in the Prophet himself as a character habituation based on religious values. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods using data analysis and reduction so that they could draw conclusions. The researcher concluded that the inculcation of character based on religious values ​​must be started since the child is at the elementary school level and through habituation, practice, practice, example, as well as commands and prohibitions that are in accordance with the basis or basis of religion, namely the Qur'an and As Sunnah so that they can form a person with Islamic character. With the habit of worshiping and socializing with the community, it will make it easier to cultivate Islamic-based characters.
