Abstract

One of the problems found in Petungsewu Village, Dau District, Malang Regency is the potential of natural products, especially orange peels which are still very minimal in use. The problem was born  because of the inadequate skills and knowledge of the community related to the use of orange peel which is one of the commodities produced in large numbers in Petungsewu Village. The community partnership program in the form of socialization aims to provide suggestions and solutions through the utilization of the potential of natural products included in the category of the main results in Petungsewu Village. In addition, this socialization also aims to increase the knowledge of citizens making the creative economy by optimizing the utilization of natural potential in the Petungsewu area. The service activity carried out by the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang KKM Team in Petungsewu Village through this socialization was carried out by providing insights related to the benefits of so many orange peel which can be used to make various kinds of products, one of which is aromatherapy candles. Then broadcast a video tutorial for making the creative economy that has been made to all socialization participants to better understand more clearly related to the making of aromatherapy. Participants who followed the Tahlil RT 04 Petungsewu Village and conducted on January 11, 2023. The output of this socialization provided direct benefits to the Petungsewu community, especially the Tahlil RT 04 Petungsewu Mothers both in the social and economy by implementing the creative economy to increase the added value of processed value Orange peel becomes the aroma therapy candle. In addition, this program is also able to increase the knowledge of the Tahlil Petungsewu village mothers in producing aromatherapy candles by looking at the video tutorial of making aromatherapy candles that have been made. In addition to the manufacturing technique, the socialization has also provided knowledge of activities related to online marketing aromatherapy wax products. Therefore, this socialization program is expected to be able to be a motivation for other communities in order to improve the ability of the community optimally, especially in utilizing the existing natural potential through the creative economy in order to increase the prosperity of the local community.
