Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the urgency of performance accountability in local government. Local government as executor of public services has an important role in implementing the public interest. Thus, performance accountability becomes very important. This research was conducted using the literature review method by reviewing relevant research. The results of this study are the urgency of local government performance accountability reflected in aspects such as budget accuracy, reporting systems, compliance with laws and regulations, and good internal control.
