Abstract

Indians and Chinese came to Indonesia to trade, but due to Indonesia's abundant potential resources, they settled until there was civilization in Indonesia. With the coming of India and China to Indonesia, they brought many influences including belief systems, educational systems, and traditions. One of the major influences on Indonesia is the mixing of cultures which results in acculturation of the architectural styles of Islamic historical buildings in Indonesia. For this reason, the author explores this matter, until it is found that the influence of India and China on the architectural style of Islamic history buildings in Indonesia can be manifested in mosques in Indonesia. such as the Demak Mosque in Central Java, the Cheng Hoo Mosque in Surabaya and the Lautze Mosque in Jakarta. From these mosques one can see the architecture and ornaments which are a blend of Indian and Chinese culture with Indonesian culture.
