Infidelity is a complex social phenomenon and has a significant impact on a couple's relationship. This study aims to identify the factors that cause infidelity and analyze its consequences for the mental well-being of the partners involved. The consequences of infidelity on a partner's mentality are also significant. Partners who experience infidelity tend to experience decreased mental well-being, including symptoms of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. The level of trust between partners is also disturbed, thus affecting the stability of long-term relationships. The results of this study have important implications for preventing infidelity and supporting the mental health of partners. Increasing satisfaction in relationships, increasing effective communication, and building strong trust between partners can be effective strategies in reducing the risk of infidelity and maintaining the mental well-being of partners.
