Penerapan direct method dalam pembelajaran kalam bahasa arab sebagai solusi minimnya mumarosah di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ishlah Lamongan
Abstract
The direct method is a natural paradigm for studying Arabic that is utilized in colleges, modern institutions, and Islamic boarding schools. Arabic, a language with a large vocabulary and complex grammar, has learning challenges that are both linguistic and nonlinguistic, which can make learning Arabic difficult. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe how the direct method of teaching Arabic is used, how it helps to reduce the difficulties associated with teaching and learning Arabic, and how mumarosah affects learning Arabic. The qualitative descriptive methodology is used in this investigation. The study's findings led to the direct method's adoption at the Al-ishlah Islamic boarding school, which was made possible by the presence of an artificial language environment and language training through shobahul lughoh programs, classes, and tests. Additionally, the direct method, which requires the direct application of Arabic without translation, has been shown to be effective in reducing linguistic issues, particularly the absence of mumarosah. Mumarosah can help students avoid easily forgetting the mufrodat and uslub of Arabic language. However, when pupils initially start using the direct method, they commonly confuse Arabic with regional tongues or decide to use their uslub and accent.
