The growth and development of children is influenced by the environment and family. The role of parents in raising children can affect the growth and development of children. Physical and verbal abuse by parents has a negative impact on children. Violence against children has different characteristics such as physical, emotional, sexual violence and neglect. Physical violence includes punches, slaps and kicks, while psychological violence includes verbal violence/violent words. Verbal Abuse or can be called verbal violence, is all forms of violence that parents use against their children, such as threats, intimidation, and foul language. The factors that cause verbal abuse in children are: parental knowledge, parenting experience, economy and environment. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to find out how parental verbal abuse affects children and the impact it will have on children.
