Pengaruh perhitungan weton terhadap aktivitas pernikahan dan bisnis masyarakat Jawa
Abstract
Indonesia is a country that has various customs, races, ethnicities, cultures, and languages. It is this diversity that makes the patterns or characteristics vary in every region in Indonesia. With this, Indonesia has diversity and invaluable wealth. The culture that develops in each region makes a norm that applies to members of the community who also have differences and have their own characteristics according to existing beliefs. This belief then becomes a lifestyle that is believed and respected in the community or can be said to have become a norm. Which, as explained earlier, it is this norm which then becomes something that is carried out together with full trust and obedience. And it turns into a habit that is done continuously. The next thing that is carried out continuously can be said to be "custom", and in the end it becomes the forerunner of the birth of "customary law". Based on this, this research wants to examine and examine more deeply the laws that develop in indigenous peoples, especially the culture or customs that develop in Javanese society, namely regarding the calculation of weton. Using normative research methods and library research, it has been found that weton calculations are still sustainable in certain circles of society. As time goes by, people have their own beliefs regarding this matter, especially in matters regarding marriage and business activities of the Javanese community.
