Pengelolaan zakat dan pajak dalam Islam
Studi pengelolaan zakat masa Khalifah Umar bin Khattab
Abstract
Zakat is one of the obligations that must be carried out by Muslims. In this depiction of the importance of zakat, the Qur'an wrote 72 times with different redactions. The Holy Prophetsa also made zakat as one of the foundations in upholding Islam. If correlated with economic aspects functionally, zakat has a relationship in efforts to solve problems that occur in society, such as poverty and social inequality. Related to that, history has recorded the names of great scholars in terms of economic thought which can be used as a benchmark in Islamic economic practice today. One of the great Muslim figures who became economic thinkers was Caliph Umar bin Khattab who was able to carry out fiscal policy in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia.
