Abstract

East java’s economy has developed quite rapidly over the past five years, despite occasional stagnation. During this period, growth. This economic situation is greatly influenced by external factors, especiallythe influence of global economic changes. This will definitely improve the welfare of the general public of the country. Therefore, the government makes policies known as fiscal and monetary policies. Monetary policy regulates Bank Indonesia interest rates an the amount of money in circulation, while fiscal policy regulates tax revenues and government expenditure. Automatically, the Central Bank's interest rate policy will influence people's consumption and investment levels, as well as influence economic growth in the country. Then, monetary and fiscal policies must be carried out effectively to achieve the goal of sustainable economic growth. the aim is to avoid the inflation that the Central Bank would cause, and the consequences that persistent fiscal deficits and large government debt could have on the Indonesian economy. Therefore, the government must establish special rules to monitor monetary and fiscal policies so that undesirable things do not happen.
