Analisis Risiko dan Strategi Mitigasi dalam Pembiayaan Mudharabah pada Bank Syariah
Abstract
Business activities in the banking sector always entail risks commensurate with the conducted activities. Several risks closely associated with Islamic banks include potential contingencies and adverse impacts on the capitalization and revenue of Shariah-compliant financial institutions. One such activity within Islamic banking fraught with risk is mudarabah financing. Mudarabah financing entails a contractual agreement between the capital provider (Shahibul maal) and the capital manager (mudharib), where profit-sharing arrangements are stipulated at the onset of the contract. Given that in mudharabah contracts it is the banking entity that serves as the capital provider, the risks borne by the banking institution correspondingly escalate. Hence, a comprehension of risk management processes, the specific risks inherent in mudharabah financing, and the strategic measures to mitigate such risks become imperative.
