Peran teknologi informasi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen risiko pada sistem perbankan syariah
Abstract
The development of Islamic banks in Indonesia has shown a positive trend as awareness of Sharia principles in financial transactions increases among the public. However, Islamic banks need to consistently develop risk management to ensure sustainable growth. The internal and external development of Islamic banking is inseparable from various risks that can affect capital and income activities. These risks include credit, market, liquidity, operational, legal, reputational, strategic, compliance, yield, and investment risks. In this context, risk management is key to minimizing potential negative impacts.
The research method used is a descriptive-analytical method with a literature review approach. Data collected through literature study. This study aims to examine the role of information technology in implementing risk management in Islamic banking and analyze the risks faced by Islamic banks. The results show that the implementation of credit and operational risk management has a positive effect on bank financial performance. Therefore, it is important for Islamic banks to utilize information technology, such as the ERM Dashboard, as a tool to monitor and manage risk profiles effectively.
This study provides a better understanding of the role of information technology in Islamic banking risk management and identifies steps that can be taken to improve risk management effectiveness in the future.
