Abstract

The crucial significance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the economic framework of Indonesia, along with the challenges they face in operating, takes center stage. Effective risk management is considered the key to addressing these challenges and driving sustainable economic growth. Through the case study of Nayla’s Cake MSME, various risks in the financial, human resources, product, and marketing sectors are clearly depicted. By identifying these risks, a SWOT analysis can be utilized to evaluate Nayla’s Cake's internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats. As a result, MSMEs can design strategic steps to enhance performance and mitigate the risks they face. The aim of this research is to evaluate the risk management applied in operating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and to identify various risks faced by Nayla’s Cake MSME. This study adopts a descriptive approach by reviewing literature related to risk management in the context of MSMEs, as well as identifying the risks faced by Nayla’s Cake MSME based on information obtained from primary sources.
