Manajemen risiko likuiditas dalam perbankan syariah sebagai upaya pemeliharaan stabilitas keuangan bank
Abstract
Sharia banking, like conventional banking, is faced with various risks that can disrupt financial stability. One of the main risks faced by Islamic banks is liquidity risk, which arises when a bank has difficulty meeting its financial obligations without disrupting its operations or incurring significant losses. Liquidity risk management is key in maintaining financial stability and customer trust in Islamic banks. Although Islamic banks have limitations in investing and borrowing money in accordance with sharia principles, several strategies can be adopted to manage liquidity risk effectively. These strategies include investment alignment, diversification of investment modes, maintaining prudent reserves, utilizing interbank lending agreements, using instruments such as Institutional Ijarah Sukuk, and considering Islamic derivative instruments. By implementing these strategies, Islamic banks are expected to reduce liquidity risk, maintain financial stability, and ensure the continuity of their business. Therefore, a deep understanding and integrated strategy in managing liquidity risk is very important for Islamic banks to achieve long-term success.
