Abstract

Murabahah financing is one of the main products in sharia banking which offers an alternative for customers to obtain financing using sharia principles. Risk management plays a crucial role in maintaining operational continuity and profits of financial institutions, including sharia banking. This research aims to explore risk management applied in murabahah financing in sharia banking. The research method used is literature study to collect data from various sources relevant to the research topic. The main findings show that risk management in murabahah financing includes identification, evaluation and management of risks associated with the transaction. Risk factors that need to be considered include liquidity risk, credit risk, market risk and operational risk. Implementing effective risk management can help sharia banking institutions to reduce losses and increase customer trust. However, challenges faced include the complexity of murabahah transaction structures and uncertainty in global financial markets. Therefore, further research and development of best practices in risk management in murabahah financing in Islamic banking are important to increase the stability and growth of this industry.
