Pembentukan karakter siswa berbudaya lingkungan melalui program adiwiyata

Abstract

The background of this research aims to ensure that students have an environmentally cultured character by getting used to living a healthy life, being responsible for existing waste, and creating a creative and innovative environment. Environmentally cultured character can be formed in various ways, one of which is through the adiwiyata program. Madrasah Al Hikam Jombang has become an independent adiwiyata madrasah which has several programs regarding waste processing and planting plants or trees. This research uses a qualitative approach through case studies. The data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research can be concluded that the formation of students' character with an environmental culture can be formed through adiwiyata programs in madrasas such as the plastic waste alms movement, making ecobricks, and making soap made from used cooking oil. This program teaches students to care about the surrounding environment and know what steps to take starting from existing environmental problems.
