Bank dan Lembaga Non Keuangan Peran dan tantangan dalam perkembangan perbankan syariah dunia
Sejarah Perbankan Syariah Dunia
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the roles and challenges in Islamic banking worldwide. The method used is a literature review by describing previous theories and research. The early development of Islamic banking in the world began in the 1970s and was introduced by several countries with Muslim-majority populations, such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. In general, the function of Islamic banking is similar to conventional banking, which acts as a financial intermediary. In Islamic banking, there are serious problems related to fraud or fraud from internal banks and external parties. Efforts that can be made by conducting stricter supervision and risk control, better transparency in the Islamic banking process, the application of effective fraud prevention measures, and firm law enforcement against perpetrators of crime are important steps to restore public trust in Islamic banking and maintain the integrity of this industry.
