Abstract

This study aims to evaluate vitamin C levels in packaged drink samples on the market. The method used is direct measurement using a Vis Spectrophotometer. A total of two types of packaged beverage products were studied, namely Minute Maid pulpy orange and Floridina. Calculating the curve regression equation obtained the line equation y=0.03143x–0.00128 with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.99343. The research results showed that all Minute Maid Pulpy Orange packaged drink samples contained vitamin C, with the highest content at 63 mg/L. Meanwhile in the Floridina sample the vitamin C level was 47 mg/L. These findings show that packaged drinks can be a source of vitamin C which is important for maintaining health and meeting the daily needs of the human body.
