Perspektif instrumen keuangan Islam
Abstract
Zakat is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam which has a significant role in reducing economic inequality and creating social welfare. This article discusses zakat as an Islamic financial instrument that is effective in redistributing wealth, alleviating poverty, and increasing social inclusion. Zakat has the potential to encourage economic growth through empowering poor communities, creating jobs, and supporting small and medium businesses. This article recommends strengthening zakat institutions in national development strategies to maximize their role in reducing economic inequality.
