Perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen pada transaksi jual beli melalui platform e-commerce nasional dan internasional
Abstract
E-commerce has become an important part of modern business life, enabling buying and selling transactions to be more effective and efficient through electronic systems. In this context, consumer protection becomes very important to ensure that e-commerce transactions run safely and fairly. Consumers in e-commerce have a weaker position compared to business actors, so appropriate legal protection is needed to protect their rights. The research method used in this article is qualitative research with a juridical-normative approach. The results of this research show the need for consumer protection because consumers' bargaining position in e-commerce transactions is very weak. The Consumer Protection Law (UUPK) and the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UUITE) have succeeded in providing adequate legal protection for consumers in e-commerce transactions. This protection is reflected in various provisions contained in the UUPK and UUITE, including the use of consumer personal data, legal requirements for e-commerce transactions, the use of Certification Authorities (CA), as well as rules regarding prohibited actions for business actors in marketing and producing goods and services. These provisions serve as guidelines in e-commerce transactions.
