Abstract
Online shopping through platforms like Shopee Live has created a phenomenon that dominates consumer behavior in the digital era, particularly in the context of major discount events. Online shopping addiction, or shopaholism, has become a major concern in this dynamic. This study aims to fill the knowledge gap by applying a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. Using a quantitative method, this research tests the hypothesis that the complex interaction between social, technological, and psychological elements influences excessive online shopping behavior. By involving 150 university students through purposive sampling, the results show a significant positive relationship between shopaholic behavior and a consumptive lifestyle. These findings provide deep insights into the phenomenon of online shopping addiction and create a foundation for the development of more effective intervention strategies to manage excessive shopping behavior.
