Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of education in reducing social and economic discrepancies by focusing on the correlation between access to education and poverty levels. Education has a crucial role in opening up opportunities and stimulating social mobility as well as reducing disparities in social aspects and knowledge. Previous studies have shown a positive correlation between education level and income, while this study will further analyze the extent to which equal access to education can effectively contribute to reducing social and economic disparities. This study uses a library research method with an approach that relies on literature sources related to the contribution of education in reducing social and economic discrepancies. The results of this study provide a basis for effective policy formulation in addressing social and economic disparities through strengthening access and quality of education. Thus, this study concludes that education has a crucial role in shaping a more just and sustainable society.
