Abstract

This research aims to analyze the difficulties of learning Arabic faced by high school and vocational school graduate students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through interviews, observations given to PBA students from various educational backgrounds. Then research results show that the main difficulties faced by students include linguistic aspects such as phonology, morphology, syntax and vocabulary; educational aspects including basic education, teaching methods, and limitations of learning media; motivational and psychological aspects such as low motivation and language anxiety; environmental and support aspects include lack of Arabic language environment and academic support; as well as cultural aspects which include cultural differences and the relevance of learning material. To overcome these difficulties, a more interactive teaching approach, increased academic support, the creation of an environment that supports Arabic language practice, and the development of relevant and interesting learning materials are recommended. Implementation of these recommendations is expected to increase the effectiveness of Arabic language learning and student academic achievement.
