Analisis efektivitas gerakan salat terhadap peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat dan studi kesehatan mental
Sebuah narrative review dengan perspektif psikologis
Abstract
Salat is one of the mandatory worship for Muslims in the world who have varied movements in one salat period. Several studies show that salat movements have a positive impact on the physiological mechanisms of the body, helping to maintain human homeostasis. This study focuses on salat interventions in improving the mental health and psychological condition of the community. The purpose of this research is to identify and review holistically the effectiveness of salat movements towards improving the degree of health, especially mental health. The methods used are Narrative Review and indirect meta-analysis of Random Control Trial (RCT) studies, with data from Pubmed, Semantic Scholar, Science Direct, Researchgate, and Springer Link until May 20, 2024. The study was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and evaluated using Cochrane RoB 2.0. The results show that salat is directly related to increased desire for life, hope, endurance, pleasure, and hope of healing, as well as having an inverse relationship with anxiety, depression, despair, and dissatisfaction of life. Salat movements also improve the function of the cardiovascular, reproductive, and electrical brain systems. In conclusion, the salat movement is beneficial for the human body and can be a therapy for mental and psychological health. More research is needed to explain the molecular mechanisms behind these benefits.
