Eksplorasi generasi z berlandas Ulul Albab sebagai pemikiran berkelanjutan dalam dunia chat-GPT
Generative pre-trained transformer
Abstract
Chat-GPT threatens to dumb down students. How could it not? Currently, Chat-GPT can also produce low-plagiarized papers, which will then be used by students, especially students, in doing their writing assignments. This shows the decline in the level of thinking of students as the next generation of the nation. With a track record that UIN Malang students are students who are famous for their ulul albab upbringing, this study aims to explore the responses of the 2023 batch of students at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang regarding the use of Chat-GPT. The research method was carried out qualitatively with a descriptive-analytical approach, which was then interviewed through a questionnaire. Respondents are students of class 2023 from various faculties with the research indicator is “the use of Chat-GPT”, with the names of respondents will be disguised with abbreviations of their own names. The results showed that most of the students used Chat-GPT only to come up with ideas in doing their assignments, so in this context it shows that generation z UIN Malang has the potential to be a figure of ulul albab. The researcher concluded that there are 3 concepts that can be applied as a generation based on ulul albab who is wise in using Chat-GPT. 1) Increase faith and piety; 2) Persistent in adding insight; 3) Train critical and innovative thinking; 4) Master digital literacy.
