Abstract

A Character is a set of traits that form an individual. Character is also what differentiates an individual from other individuals. A person's character will develop starting in childhood and continuing as they get older. In the process of developing a child's character, it will be influenced by several interrelated factors, namely parental parenting, genetics, and the environment. These three factors have a complex influence on the development of a child's character. This research aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the importance of the influence of these three factors in the process of developing children's character. The results of this research show that both parenting patterns, genetic factors, and the environment have an active role in the development of children's character. Genetic factors can have an impact on certain psychological conditions, so good parenting is needed so that it does not have a negative impact on children. Good parenting also requires a good environment to support children's growth and development. Parental parenting styles act as a filter for children against the negative impacts that can be caused by the environment. Therefore, dynamic integration is needed between these three factors to create good character development.
